Youth Programs

Elementary STEM— Every Tuesday at 4pm

Elementary-age kids, join us Tuesday afternoons at 4:00 for hands-on activities designed to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Children under 8 will need help from a grown-up.

Elementary Book Club

Elementary-age kids, join us once a month for a fun book club! Each month we'll read a different book, then get together to discuss the book! We'll dress up, eat snacks, and do some fun activities. Check our calendar for the date and time each month, and to find out what book we're reading!

Read to a Therapy Dog

Kids, come read to a therapy dog from the Pets Helping People Therapy Team! Sign up for a 10-minute slot when you arrive, and spots are first come, first served. Thus program happens once a month, so check our calendar for the date and time

Our storytimes are broken up into different age groups so that we can tailor them to each group’s developmental needs. Regardless of the age group your child falls under, storytimes encourage early literacy, communication skills, language efficiency, early math proficiency, reasoning skills, and social skills. Children who regularly attend storytime are, on average, better prepared to enter school than kids who don’t. Plus, and we can’t stress this enough, it’s very fun!

  • Baby Lapsit
Baby Lapsit is a storytime designed for babies from birth through 18 months. This short storytime lasts about 15 minutes and is specifically tailored to the developmental needs of babies. Your baby will be on your lap, and you will both have so much fun as we sing, move, and read together. Come Tuesdays at 11am!

  • Toddler Time
This storytime is designed for children in the 18 month to 3 year old age group. There are lots of opportunities for movement and books that are appropriate for this age group’s attention span. Toddler time is on Mondays Thursdays at 10:30am.

  • Preschool Storytime
This storytime is designed for kids who are 4 and 5 years old. The books are a little longer and the concepts are a little more complex, but they’re still so much fun. Preschool Storytime is on Fridays at 10:30am.

Teen Programs

Teens in 6th – 12th grade can join us for fun activities every other Thursday at 4:30pm! Each week is a different activity, and we will do things like art projects, game day, Minecraft Club, and more.  Check our calendar for specific activities!
